hi Sally, first of all let me say that I am no expert at these things so I can only offer suggestions based on similar problems I have come up against while learning joomla over the last 3 years.

I have looked at your site and it looks good, but as I faced a similar thing some time ago, could your problem be a compatibility issue with your template, many of these templates do not have all the ingredients required to handle many extensions etc. It might be worth trying another template just to see if it makes a difference.

That is ofcourse if a reinstall has not worked. You can email me direct if you wish and I can try to run through some things with you. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Hi Sally,

in the meantime we have managed to fix the problem. It was a bug in the 1.5.40 version. Please download the new 1.5.42 version, deinstall your old component and reinstall the new one.

If you already have created ads and categories, make a backup prior to reinstallation. After reinstallation you can easily restore the data with the restore function.

Thanks for the help, i\'ve just checked and \'Search Engine Friendly URLs\' is already checked as a no. I\'ve not installed anything manually resembling this either.

The site is www.ukweddingreviews.co.uk if this helps.

Thanks again

Sally

We have several posts in this forum, where people are facing the same problem. It obviously is a problem of SEF components changing the links of KISS Advertiser so that the component can no longer rely on the link.

jamesbowie\'s proposal was correct, just try to configure your SEF component to make an exception for KISS Advertiser (no SEF links) or try to switch off SEF temporarily to see what happens.

hi, yes its an extension you would have had to install yourself. Try checking in global configuration to see if sef is enabled, if it is disable it and see if that makes any difference.
